Thanks to all the Forest Service people over the years have helped to make this happen and are remembered for their contributions. After Continental Divide Training Center was closed in the early 1970 s, the truck was stationed on the Apache Sitgreaves N. The two Powers boys were drafted the war but failed to show. They were released and told to not return to the area. There it was used to help build a telephone line to Powers Ranger Station and haul supplies up and down the canyon.
One that returned and joined the Forest Service was a tough paratrooper and horseman by the name of Charles Chuck Ames. Powers Garden had been a private ranch during World I.
